Communications Coordinator and Graphic Designer
Hi! I'm Mikaela.
I graduated from Concordia University with a BFA in Film Production, and have an Ontario College Diploma in Interactive Media Design from Algonquin College.
I work across documentary film, photography, and graphic design to tell human-centred stories that inform, inspire, and drive social change.
My work often explores unique Canadian identities and communities: their challenges, resilience, and cultural memory. I've directed award-winning documentaries, and worked with both public-sector and non-profit organizations, often focusing on themes of feminism, equality, cultural heritage, local stories, and the diverse lived experiences that shape our communities.
I've worked with some awesome people. Some of my past clients include Arctic Youth Network, Stepping Stone Family Shelter, VegOttawa, Choo Communities, the Ottawa Catholic School Board, the Bank of Canada, BeanFair Fair Trade Coffee, Newfoundland West SPCA, and more.
